This “Solheim Cup” style event is in partnership with the Kalamazoo Women’s Golf Association (KWGA). This team event will have a 6/6/6/ format including scramble, best-ball and match play. GRWGA players will be matched according to handicap with similar KWGA players to make a foursome. Each two-person team will play the 6/6/6 format for the 18-hole round.

There will be four points available per foursome for the 18-hole round. One point for the scramble winner, one point for the best-ball winner and one point for each of the single match play winners. After all the points are added up the Association with the most points will take home the travel trophy.

This event will be gross scoring and GRWGA player handicaps will be used to set equal matches so a member must have a minimum of five rounds in the GRWGA handicapping system between September 2019 and July 15, 2020 to be eligible to participate in this event.

The rosters of registered players with their handicaps will be used to pair the teams of each association for equal competitive play. The KWGA has a handicap maximum of 36.

All are welcome to sign up and play however if there is an uneven number of players or an equal handicap match isn't possible some may be playing a regular golf game rather than the partner format for competition.

Cancellations made up to 14 days before the event date can receive a refund less $10 handling fee, minus extra fees incurred by the association.
