Inspiring Resilience Through Golf

Beverely Jean Carr Brakefield embodied the transformative power of golf. At age 54, after the loss of her beloved spouse, she turned to the game as a source of solace, strength, and renewal. What began as a refuge became a lifelong passion, and over the years, she not only honed her skills but also built enduring friendships through her participation in the Kalamazoo Women’s Golf Association.

Through golf, she found a way to embrace joy again a reminder to us all that the sport is not just a game, but a path to healing and community. Her dedication to the sport and her vibrant spirit has left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

To honor her legacy, we invite you to support other women who are widowed and seeking the same solace and empowerment that golf provided for Beverley. Your generous donation will help fund programs, memberships, and events specifically designed to support widowed women in discovering the game, building connections, and finding strength through their journey.
