GRAND RAPIDS WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES SECOND SEASON WITH 2020 SCHEDULE
February 26, 2020 [Grand Rapids, MI] – After a successful 2019 inaugural season, Grand Rapids Women’s Golf Association announces the commencement of their second season, kicking off in April 2020.

MEMBER + GUEST 6/6/6 EVENT @ BOULDER CREEK - MAY 19TH
At first the weather didn’t look promising, however, we showed up and got all 18 holes in without a drop of rain. Amazing! Thank you to all the members and their guests who came out for the event today. The 6/6/6 format was a new format for members and their guests and many commented on what a fun way it was to play.
We had to use the tiebreaker rule from our Standing Rules to determine 1st and 3rd place winners.

Great weather, wonderful company and of course golf at our event yesterday at Thornapple Pointe.

SATURDAY, MAY 11th OPENING DAY - WE GET TO PLAY!
Weather was a chili 42 degrees but with lots of layers, hats and mittens, we got in our first round of the season. The A,B,C,D scramble was a perfect start to the season. Members got to meet and get-to-know each other on the course and at the lunch after. Already many great friendships being made.
Scramble 1st place Team Winners were Christine Koch, Jayne Barnes, Candy Feutz and Laura Metz
2nd place team won by tie breaker. Team Winners were Susan Vos, Jillionne Phillips, April Cunningham and Beth Maycroft
Random Drawing winners were Deb Koperski, Jane Schnoor.

Congrats ladies on your golf performance. A fun time was had by all!
OPENING DAY EVENT - MAY 1ST
We missed out on golf due to weather however we had a really yummy lunch and we socialized at Alpine Golf Club. Many of our members didn't know each other before then, it was like we were family by the end of lunchtime.
So grateful and proud of the new community we have created.
Some of you asked if your friends can still join the membership. Yes! We take memberships all year long.
LADIES NIGHT AT GOLF GALAXY
Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 6-9pm is Ladies Night at Golf Galaxy. Great prizes from some of the best golf brands. Prize drawings every 30 minutes. Putt for points and prizes. Join the fun!
GRWGA APPRECIATION DAY AT GOLF GALAXY
Saturday, March 16, 2019 was an terrific day at Golf Galaxy. Members met up at the location, snacked on coffee and bagels, learned some new golf tips from Ken Kapcia, the on staff Pro, and received some great merchandise discounts. Eleven lucky members went home with some awesome golf-related prizes from the raffle drawing including Taylor Made and Ping Putters, Golf Gloves, Callaway and Ping hats. Thank you to all of you who stopped in and to Golf Galaxy for supporting the GRWGA.
