Player Updates & Event Info
In Golf Genius, every player has information contained in a player profile where you can view and edit your player information as needed; find and edit your event registrations and locate other important player info. In the next few newsletters we’ll break out a few features and share how you can use and benefit from the player profile.
Player Picture
We can all appreciate the ability to put a name with a face. If you get paired with someone and don’t know them, pulling up their player profile picture will familiarize you with the person before arriving at the event.
For this reason we encourage each player to add a picture to their personal profile.
Here’s how to do this.
First, find a current photo you’d like to use for your player profile. Make sure you know the location of the picture so you can point to it when needed.
Login to your GRWGA Golf Genius Master Roster Profile
Edit the Profile
Select “Choose File” button
Go to and select the picture file you identified as the one to make your profile pic
The file name of the picture should be seen to the right of the “Choose File” button
Go to the bottom of the screen and select the “Update” button to save the picture file to your profile
Putting a Name to Face
To familiarize yourself with the other ladies in the event and/or in your foursome, you will:
Login to your GRWGA Golf Genius Master Player Profile
From the “Event Schedule” page go to an event of your choice and click on the event
Then select “Tee Sheets” from the top toolbar and then select “Players” from the drop down list
Click on the blue printed area (Team ID and/or player name) to see the player picture
If the photo area is empty, the member hasn’t updated their profile with a picture. We encourage all members to add a picture to their profile to help put names with faces. If you need assistance adding a photo to your profile please contact us at info@grwga.com.
Golf Genius is the tournament management software that the GRWGA has purchased to manage all member and event registrations, formats and other management details like pairings, flights, handicaps and custom event scorecards etc. This software is integrated with the Golf Association of MI (GAM) and USGA/GHIN handicap services. This tool is critical to providing you with an organized event experience.
Please keep your member information up-to-date like name, address, phone number and email address so your name appears correctly in all places used and you will receive member and event communications. Go into your Player Profile to make these changes.
There are several ways to keep tabs on your registered events, here are two of the most popular ways. When logged in to your GRWGA Golf Genius account:
Go to “My Player Dashboard” and click on “Participation History”
Go to the “Event Schedule” page, the event listing will indicate whether you are currently registered for the event by a green box to the left side of the event. It will also have “Edit Registration” on the right hand side of the event listing which is where you can request a refund and/or cancel your registration. See image below.
